Domaine Paul Spannagel has an impressive family history, illustrated by the family tree proudly displayed at the entrance to the tasting room. Dating back to 1598, it details four centuries dedicated to wine and vineyards, through wine growing, wine appreciation and cooperage. It is this same determination that drives Yves, Claudine and their children Marie and Jérôme to continue their work as dedicated winegrowers. With a wine tourism diploma under her belt, Marie welcomes visitors with great professionalism. Her thoughtfully-prepared, interactive tour stimulates the five senses, using photographs taken by her mother, childhood souvenirs from her grandparents and other delightfully personal touches to create an entertaining storytelling tour.
